Michael began his career with the Tyree Group in 1992 as an apprentice electrical fitter while studying engineering. After graduating with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, he worked as an Electrical Engineer across Tyree's Mittagong and Thomastown operations before pursuing engineering, product development, and business development roles in North America, where he also completed his MBA.
In 2007, Bill and Peter Tyree recruited Michael back to Australia to help re-engineer and grow the Tyree transformer business. As General Manager and Technical Lead, he played a pivotal role in growth of the Tyree transformer businesses including development of the broader markets, engineering of the product range, and development in all aspects of the operations to support this growth.
