Supporting Growth: Tyree’s Ongoing Commitment to the Expansion of Data Centres in Australia

Tyree Transformers are proud to maintain a pivotal role in supporting the expansion of Data Centres in Australia. As demand for efficient and reliable power solutions soar, we continue our passion for powering the future. In December 2023, Team Tyree affirmed this commitment by successfully delivering and installing three 35/50MVA 66/22kV power transformers for the NEXTDC M2 Data Centre in Tullamarine, Melbourne.

As a Tier IV certified data centre, the M2 stands at the forefront of energy excellence. It is owned and operated by NEXT DC, an industry leader offering their clients an impressive 100% uptime. The M2 data centre provides NEXT DC’s clients with unparalleled levels of resilience, reliability and inter-connectivity. Our transformers are an integral part of the stage 8 expansion of the M2 Data Centre.

Tyree designed, manufactured, tested and installed our power transformers on time in what was a very short delivery schedule. This project witnessed the delivery of all three transformers to the M2 Data Centre during November 2023.  The culmination of Tyree’s efforts was marked by the complete and successful Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of the transformers. With the product having met our quality standards in reliability and performance, Tyree officially handed-over the fully completed transformers to our customer on the 12th of January 2024.

Team Tyree is fully dedicated to delivering our products to support Australia and New Zealand’s data centres and other critical infrastructure.
