Tyree has invested in a dedicated production line for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Step-Up Transformers.
Tyree Transformers has continued to expand our manufacturing facilities at our operations located at Braemar in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
Tyree manufactures a comprehensive range of Power Transformers and Substations for both grid-scale Solar PV Inverters and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Inverters. Tyree has been supplying these products to operate in conjunction with global market leaders in PV and BESS systems with significant ramp-up to support the energy transition underway.
To meet the ongoing project demand and recent securing of large volume orders for grid scale BESS projects, the Tyree Board has committed over $10m to construct a dedicated high volume production line capable of supplying in excess of 500 units per annum, in ratings from 3MVA to 10MVA for BESS and grid scale PV additional to Tyree’s already significant local manufacturing capacity. It is expected that this production line will reach full scale output by October 2023 to meet the local market demands and maintain a strong local supply chain for electrical infrastructure.
