SEQ Water selects Tyree Transformers for WWTP Upgrades in Brisbane

Tyree Transformers recently completed the supply of kiosk substations for the Power Upgrade project at the SEQ Water Mt Crosby Eastbank Sludge Plant.

This plant is a vital piece of infrastructure which treats water from the Brisbane River and supplies into the Cameron’s Hill reservoir prior to entering the bulk water supply network for Brisbane.
Our scope included the supply of six kiosk substations with transformers utilising Cargill Envirotemp Fr3 fluid high temperature in place of mineral oil. The advantages of the Envirotemp Fr3 fluid include;

  • Improved fire safety due to its high temperature flashpoint properties compared to mineral oil
  • Increased thermal capacity of transformers
  • A low carbon footprint as Envirotemp Fr3 is sourced from fully renewable materials
  • Envirotemp Fr3 fluid is also fully biodegradable
