The Sir William Tyree Foundation expands scholarship study program

The Tyree Foundation is proud to announce the further expansion of the Sir William Tyree Engineering scholarship program to include the University of South Australia and Curtin University in Western Australia. The expanded program adds to the existing scholarships already offered through the University of Wollongong and RMIT in Melbourne and are offered in the memory of the late Sir William Tyree founder of the Tyree Group and the Sir William Tyree Foundation.

The scholarships are valued at $15,000 per year for each scholar over the duration of their undergraduate studies. The scholarships will support high performing students who have experienced significant disadvantage during their secondary education and who may otherwise be unable to attend university without financial assistance.

In addition to financial assistance, scholarship holders will be offered the option to undertake work experience within the Tyree Group of companies and with our business partners, where they will benefit from seeing engineering theory placed into practice in the application, design & manufacture of electrical equipment.

The first round of scholarships will shortly be open for applications for study at UniSA and Curtin University and are targeted to support students applying to study mechanical and electrical engineering from 2020 onward.
