Open Day

On Saturday 22nd October the Tyree team opened our Mittagong operations for an Open Day for both the families of our team and the public from across the Wingecarribee and Wollondilly regions.

Our team were very excited to welcome over 1500 visitors on the day showcasing our extensive manufacturing operations and recent investments into automation and high-tech machinery.

It is great to have so many young faces on-site excited to see the ‘Tyree’ where their parents work every day and for them to see some of the machinery in operation and the products we produce. It was amazing to watch so many budding tradespeople and future engineers excited to tour the site and learn about Tyree and the high-tech equipment and processes we apply.

Our younger visitors also took the chance to participate in face painting, operate fire hoses, climb into SES and RFS emergency vehicles and collect show bags with goodies for both the kids and their parents.

The day was also well supported by several Tyree’s local voluntary community service organisations including the State Emergency Service, Rural Fire Service- Alpine Brigade, Plus Fitness Moss Vale & Mittagong, the Rotary Club of Bowral & Mittagong and some of the team from TAFE NSW – Moss Vale Campus who showcased their mobile training trailer and virtual welding training module.

The Open Day was ably project managed by our Fabrication Manager Marty Temporali and who was well supported by many of Tyree’s employees, all of whom made the day the huge success it was.
