General Information

These Transformers are at the centre of contemporary electricity grids, offering essential short and long-duration energy storage capabilities. Their role is in stabilising the grid in response to the intermittency associated with increasing renewable energy generation from both wind and solar. At Tyree, our world-class inverter transformers provide a power pathway to the stepping-up of voltage from the battery and the inverter electricity grid connection, plus the step-down of voltage levels from the grid and/or generation source to charge the batteries.

Details

Dedicated design and manufacturing capacity for inverter connected transformers used in modern renewable plants including wind, solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and STATCON's.

Inverter transformers in ratings from 1500-10,000kVA and up to 36kV network voltages.

Fluid filled inverter transformers in both mineral oil and ester based fluid for ONAN and KNAN specifications.

Customised to client and site requirements. The transformers feature specified electrostatic shielding, harmonic mitigation and are thermally rated as required to perform over the plant life in the transient generation and load scenarios often combined with the system demands for this fact acting energy soruces.

Sealed tank designs with dry air cushion as recommended for Australian and New Zealand conditions.

Fabrication and surface treatment offering surface finishes to AS2312, AS4680 and applicable site requirements to ensure a reliable and long life product solution.

Cable termination options for air, solid and screened terminations with a customer focus to ensure on site ease of cable jointing and operational reliability. The product range is type tested to AS/NZS60076, and/or IEC60076 standards as applicable and required.
