Today Tyree utilise modern software tools including VIT SAPRTON, ANSYS, and in-house integrated design tools that apply Anderson and legacy design data from more than seventy-five years of transformer experience.
Tyree Power Transformers are widely used across all aspects of electricity networks and industry wherever large power and high voltage is generated, transmitted, distribute and applied. Often our transformers are installed in extremely arduous locations and demanding operation conditions. Our extensive library of designs and the reliable and safe performance of the numerous power transformers supplied by Tyree over the near 80 year life of our company, clearly demonstrate Team Tyree’s unwavering commitment to design excellence, production quality and product reliability.

Liquid Immersed Power Transformers for Substations, including Zone, Terminal and Sub-Transmission for power distribution, industrial plant connection and large scale renewable connection to power networks.
Natural cooled ratings of 80MVA at network voltages up to 145kV class to both AS/NZS and IEC standards.
Cooling configuration including ONAN/ONAF/ODAN/ODAF/KNAN/KNAF/KDAN/KDAF/ODWF/KDWF and others.
Designs featuring low loss, low magentostriction core steels and design methods for low noise performance.
Best in class components including Hitachi and Reinhaussen tapchangers, bushings and components. European sourced insulation materials and feature modern and proven active materials through long term sourcing partnerships with Sam-Dong, and Nippon Steel Corporation.
In-house design and fabricated tanks, and structures produced from local Australian mild and carbon steels. Surface treatment in house using proven Australian paint systems in accordance with AS2312 and apply hot dipped galvansing per AS4680 to ensure compliance and long term performance in Australian and New Zealand corrosive categories.
