Tyree Wins Major Contract to supply Medium Voltage Pad Mount Kiosk Substations
Tyree have been awarded a major contract valued in excess of $50 million to supply medium voltage pad mount kiosk substations to Essential Energy in NSW. To be awarded such a significant contract against previously firmly entrenched competition is a real vote of confidence for this locally manufactured and assembled product. The Tyree offer was subjected to a very detailed technical and commercial review, particularly as the medium voltage Ring Main Units supplied by the Tyree supply partner Efacec were new to the market in Australia.
Tyree have been producing this style of product in smaller numbers for several years and the experienced gained was very valuable and of great assistance in securing this contract. Industrial and utility style kiosks are now a significant share of production and along with the continued development of Power Transformer capability are an important part of the growth plans of the company.
