Tyree Supporting the RFS in the Southern Highlands

Tyree Transformers have donated $20,000 to the Alpine Aylmerton Rural Fire Brigade for the renovation and upgrade of the their stations facilities including; the re-roofing of the Breathing Apparatus refilling room and their ‘Hot Cell’ training area.

The Alpine Aylmerton RFS station provides “Village Firefighter” and “Breathing Apparatus” training courses using their ‘Hot Cell’ training facility to train fire fighters from the Wingecarribee and Wollondilly districts in techniques to control fires inside burning structures using breathing apparatus.

In announcing the donation, Tyree Managing Director Keian Barnard said ‘In the summer of 2019/2020 we experienced an unprecedented bush fire emergency which effected our district and unfortunately resulted in the destruction of many homes and tragically the lives of two volunteer fire fighters. Tyree are very pleased to be able to support the training of the districts volunteer fire fighters who provide such a valuable service to our local communities.”
