Tyree Transformers are pleased to announce that our Kiosk Substation design has successfully completed Internal Arc Testing to AS62271.202.
The Kiosk Substation designed and manufactured by Tyree at our Mittagong NSW operations was successfully tested by independent test laboratory, Testing & Certification Australia at their Lane Cove NSW facility at an electrical fault level of 20kA for a duration of 1 second.
The successful completion of the stringent testing regime required under AS62271 provide our customers with certainty that Tyree Kiosk Substations offer protection for both their personnel during switching operations and the general public in the event of a rare equipment or cable fault.
The design ensures that the hot gases, molten particles and high pressures that result from electrical arc faults are safely directed away from operators and vented in a controlled manner to reduce the risk of injury to the general public.
This new development is a further demonstration of Tyree Transformer’s ongoing commitment to continue the development of our products by improving their reliability and safety, whilst also continuing to provide our customers value for money.
Our comprehensive range of kiosk substations are customised for applications in industries including; power utilities, water, rail transport, defence, mining, commercial and heavy industry.
